A Singapore Company

SSH Sauces is a homegrown brand with over 46 years of expertise developing and manufacturing quality sauces, pastes, and marinades. As a comprehensive one-stop service, we also supply other cooking ingredients and condiments to our customers. 

We have an extensive range of products that caters to various culinary professionals and enthusiasts alike, from restaurants and hawkers to school canteen stall owners and individual home chefs! We also offer customised OEM services to business clients, tailored for both local sales and international exports.

Humble Beginnings

Sim Soon Heng Cooking Ingredients was registered as a company in 1978. The founders, Mr & Mrs Sim, fondly known as Tau Kay & Tau Kay Nio to their loyal customers, displayed the enterprising spirit of entrepreneurs as early as the 1960’s.

 

As the pioneer generation, they started with door-to-door peddling of soya sauce, and laid the foundation of what would become a flourishing business. Over time, their portfolio expanded to include a wide array of products, including different chilli sauces, pastes, and various condiments.

Continuous Pursuit Of Excellence

Today, SSH is helmed by the second generation business owners, Mr David Sim and his wife, Winlin.

 

David's passion for sauce craftmanship started at a young age. Still a student then, he seized the opportunity to apprentice under a chilli grand-master, alongside Mrs Sim. Together, they experimented and created their first blended chilli paste which has since become the ‘Hero Product’ of SSH! 

 

This sparked off a journey in crafting and manufacturing quality sauces with natural ingredients, delivering authentic flavours, original taste, well-liked by customers for the last 4 decades and more!

Achievements & Recognition

Mr David Sim's  passionate quest for quality sauces continued through the years. He is the mastermind behind SSH's premium Chilli Crab Sauce, perfecting it through countless taste tests to achieve the rich and aromatic flavours of this favourite Singapore dish!

1978-1989

Registered the business in Singapore

Began supplying to hawkers as HDB food centres were established

Commenced in-house manufacturing of our own sauces

2000 - 2009

Achieved Halal certification in 2006, underscoring our commitment to inclusive offerings

Initiated exports to share authentic flavours with a global audience

Introduced Healthier Choice products, accredited by Health Promotion Board

Inaugurated our website, marking the commencement of our digital presence

Ventured into OEM production, enhancing our capabilities and expanding our reach

2020& Beyond

Expanded our accessibility by introducing our products on e-commerce platforms like Shopee and Lazada
